Presentation Formats for Video Digitization
Page Index
Presentation
Video presentation formats include Quicktime, Real Media, and Windows Media Video. These formats use compression algorithms to reduce the size of the files, and can be used for streaming online delivery. For downloading, MPEG formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and MPEG-4) are more commonly used. Among media players, RealPlayer has the advantage of being able to play SMIL (Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) files.
